1 Bdr Hotel Style Apartment - Comfort, Swim & Dine

Convenient abode in Parramatta Positive: The property is an easy few minutes walk from the train station (as long as one comes out of the right exit). The building itself is not clearly numbered. To note that the flat is part of a hotel building that is separately managed. The host was present at the location to check me in. The property has a spacious living area and is well ventilated. There are sufficient sockets for any electric gadgets. The air conditioner panel was clear and the conditioner worked well during my stay. The bathroom is also a very good size. Negative: There wasn't much in the way of instructions about things such as the use of the swimming pool, disposal of bins, supplies, etc. There was no offer of a change of bedding or cleaning for the 10 days I spent there. The kitchen had one sachet of dishwashing liquid, which would clearly not last long. There was also just one sachet of laundry powder although I did not use the washing machine on this occasion. The bathroom had no holder for a shower gel. I had a complaint relating to my request. I raised the complaint early in the morning, about 6am and was told someone will be coming to check it out. For this reason I waited around but no one showed up until I requested an update 10 hours later! However, the guy that did come was excellent and was able to solve the issue with determination. Top guy! So overall, the property itself is OK but the management seemed too complacent. Otherwise this could have been an excellent rating. Improvements are needed.

Comfortable. Positive: The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. Good for a business trip. The accommodation is in a Mantra Parramatta complex close to the train station. Negative: Communication with the host was not always responsive.
